Remote Life Coach

Mom. Daughter. Friend. Mentor.

Coffee Lover.

Hey, there! Thanks for stopping by. Here’s a few things you should know about me.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with a BGS in Theatre and have a Masters in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. I have been coaching since 2011.

Prior to all of that, I spent a good portion of my life in duality- the girl I was and the girl I thought you wanted me to be. I blame Olivia Newton John and Grease. Nothing like a blonde in hot pants with a voice like an angel to make me question, “if I change everything about myself, will I be more loved and accepted?”

It has taken me until today years old for me to fully accept who I am.

The great Albus Dumbledore said, “Understanding is the first step to acceptance and only with acceptance can there be recovery.” For me, the recovery has been of my authentic self.

I Understand

Where I come from. I was born to an adorable Irish Catholic girl and her handsome, mustached husband. Even with blessed beginnings, I had an aching emptiness I couldn’t fill.

Being a girl named Lark, growing up in a parochial school in Kansas, I questioned who God wanted me to be. Not knowing who I was, who you or God wanted me to be, I logically became an actress and moved to LA.

I Accept

Where I was headed. I could not fill the emptiness with boys or booze or books. I had to go within to listen and find answers.

I did this with the help of sobriety and the 12 steps. While studying at USM, I learned that “how I relate to myself in the issue is the issue” and that when I have competing intentions, the only thing that manifests is confusion.

I Recover

What was always there: My true, authentic self. Today, I am cozy in my own skin and doing my best to be warm.

I am a life coach and a writer.
I sit in my feelings until I learn what they came to teach.
I love my children. I co-parent well.
I listen to yacht rock.
I love coffee. Oh, and Harry Potter and Grease.

Understand, Accept, and Recover your authentic self. Often times, we are so frightened of sharing who we really are that we cover ourselves with armor in order to stay safe. This armor is made from scary stories, irrational beliefs, and paralyzing doubts. But soon the weight of it becomes too much and what we had built to protect ourselves, is actually hurting us the most. I will help you remove it, piece by piece, to recover who you really are.
